- 5+ years of experience building applications in JavaScript, Node.js, Angular, GraphQL, React, and FlowType.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, web design, computer science, or relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Travis and Jenkins.
- Strong working knowledge of speed focused techniques like async loading and lazy loading.
- Have experience using source control (GitHub/GitLab) to manage source code and issues.
- You are comfortable working in a remote-first company and understand the importance of timely, detailed communication.
- Prepare accurate required customs documents to facilitate and help keep international shipments on track.
- Administers effective and economical movement of goods in accordance with the company’s policies.
- Manage shipping-lane validation and verification, and new lanes setup. Monitor and track import/export and domestic US shipments to ensure smooth transit through the shipping lanes and customs.
- Initiate, monitor, and revise policies, procedures, and service standards for customs clearance, freight, and brokerage.
- Stay current with changes in trade regulations, customs rulings, and tariff changes.
- Experience with both import and export controls, including all areas addressed in trade compliance such as performing the correct HTS classification.
- Validate invoices from logistics partners, dispute discrepancies, perform cost analysis and drive actions for continuous improvement.
- Use MS Excel or similar system to keep planning for International Transportation forecast.
- Receive, review, and process documentation for an assigned base of accounts.
- Process and follow Shipper’s Letter of Instructions accurately.
- Prepare and process Delivery Orders, Dock Receipts, Warehouse Work Orders, Ocean Bills of Lading, Insurance Certificates, Certificates of Origin, Consular Documents, Shipper’s Export
